Missouri women’s golf began its season this past week in Peoria, Arizona. Similar to the men, the women’s team has talent. They’ve put together some impressive outings, including a first-place finish in the Johnie Imes Tournament in the fall. I look forward to covering the team and seeing how they do this spring. Here’s my preview along with the results from Day one and two of the Westbrook Invitational:
Softball moved on from the palm trees of Florida to California. The Tigers hit the west coast for their final tournament ahead of their home opener. The third week was where I wanted to see if the Tigers were a legit competitive team or not. Many teams can start well but cool down as the season goes. Missouri went 3-3, losing some low score games. Overall, I thought the Tigers were inconsistent, but showed that they could compete as well. Some fixes here and there will take this team a long way during the season. Here’s my preview of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic and recap stories from the tournament:
