State wrestling in Missouri

In February, I was able to cover the Missouri High School state championships in Columbia. Previously, I had never covered or seen a state wrestling tournament. Some of my takeaways were just how crowded everything was. The entire arena floor was filled with athletes, coaches, media, trainers, etc. It’s amazing to see how much organization goes into an event with so many participants. It was nice to cover some of the athletes I followed all season as their year came to an end. Having Jackson with me allowed for some much needed divvying up of responsibilities.
