Missouri softball impresses in first home games

In its first home games, Missouri softball showcased what the Tigers had been working on up to that point. A young pitching core with a veteran closer, the Tigers were able to give much needed run support to give them the edge. Missouri ended the Mizzou Tournament with a 3-1 record. The Tigers capped off the tournament in walk-off fashion off a Cayla Kessinger RBI. It was nice to cover them and see how dedicated their fans were, especially in that moment. I’m glad I didn’t take those games for granted as the season has now been canceled. Here’s my stories on those games that I wrote for the Missourian, including a series preview:
