Life felt so normal. It’s only been a month since I was regularly covering Mizzou sports and athletic events in Columbia. Now, everything is shut down and theirs no sports for the foreseeable future. It’s unfortunate that I am deprived of what consists of most of my days. However, there’s a greater cause at hand.Continue reading “Stories regarding sports at Mizzou and COVID-19”

Mizzou softball sweeps first, only conference series of the season
Prior the outbreak of the coronavirus, Missouri softball was headed for a great season. Due to being ineligible for postseason play, winning the SEC held more weight for Missouri. The only series Missouri was able to play in conference was its home opener against Ole Miss. The Tigers won all three games with little toContinue reading “Mizzou softball sweeps first, only conference series of the season”
Missouri softball impresses in first home games
In its first home games, Missouri softball showcased what the Tigers had been working on up to that point. A young pitching core with a veteran closer, the Tigers were able to give much needed run support to give them the edge. Missouri ended the Mizzou Tournament with a 3-1 record. The Tigers capped offContinue reading “Missouri softball impresses in first home games”
State wrestling in Missouri
In February, I was able to cover the Missouri High School state championships in Columbia. Previously, I had never covered or seen a state wrestling tournament. Some of my takeaways were just how crowded everything was. The entire arena floor was filled with athletes, coaches, media, trainers, etc. It’s amazing to see how much organizationContinue reading “State wrestling in Missouri”

Here’s myContinue reading “Ladies take the stage in golf, softball”

TheContinue reading “Golf season upon us, softball getting warm, wrestling cools down”
Missouri softball and its first weekend
As the season began, I didn’t know what to expect. Missouri softball was coming off a nice 35-25 season in 2019, however it was ranked near the bottom of the SEC going into 2020. They had a revamped pitching rotation that would see three freshman play prominent roles for them. It seemed that just goingContinue reading “Missouri softball and its first weekend”
